When I read about your appreciation for music, I wonder if there is something missing in me. I'm one of those listen to the radio and not really pay attention people. My oldest daughter knows more about artists and songs than I do. And I'm talking about the classic rock from my childhood.

Thank for this thoughtful tribute.Real Live Preacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03757644935379896122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20010538.post-83927238213178845352007-12-19T00:10:00.000-05:002007-12-19T00:10:00.000-05:00Hi Milton, you posted on my blog about Springsteen ...Hi Milton,

you posted on my blog about Springsteen a few weeks ago; took me a while to write back. I loved the Fogelberg entry; I echo your emotions--his music was a lot of the soundtrack of my teen years...

I really enjoy your blog. I see you're in Mass., but you mention living in Ft. Worth--when were you there? I lived there from 92-02.

take care,

ToddToddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04891399196853862545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20010538.post-79239710414595582092007-12-18T22:40:00.000-05:002007-12-18T22:40:00.000-05:00Hey, Milton, Fellow Traveler...Thanks for this. I ...Hey, Milton, Fellow Traveler...

Thanks for this. I mourned Madeleine with you, and now Dan, too. They've both been formative influences for me as a musician and as a person. I've been singing Dan's music since my jr. high social studies class; my teacher played the "Phoenix" album for us after we got back from a classmate's funeral, and I was moved and inspired. He was a wonderful lyricist, and could really match a melody line to the scansion and contour of a lyric.

Thanks, again, for YOUR eloquence about another wonderful artist.

Glad you're settling in and finding home in a new place; the restaurant sounds WONDERFUL. Blessed Christmas to you and Ginger from me and Rochelle. Shalom, friend.

:-) JodiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20010538.post-46145723038422701432007-12-18T19:00:00.000-05:002007-12-18T19:00:00.000-05:00His songs were such an important part of my high s...His songs were such an important part of my high school and college soundtrack. "Was he just like all the rest/When he got to the sad part/Did he stay a bit too long/To save his heart?"
I was fortunate to see him in concert twice when I was in college--fine shows. He is missed.zorrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00301856272073306968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20010538.post-82005324515686163092007-12-18T02:43:00.000-05:002007-12-18T02:43:00.000-05:00This is a great tribute post.
