Hopper...Milton,
What a wonderful way to spend a day! Hopper's work is phenomenal, although the solitude can be disturbing. The sculptures are wonderful, and reminiscent of pieces my sister brings back from Haiti while on mission trips. I sometimes give thought to the concept of collective consciousness, and how similar ideas and concepts find fruition at similar times but in different spaces. The "memories stacked up like stones" really speaks to me. We are considering a project in our little church, one where we bring rocks and stones, representing our burdens, to church. The idea is NOT to bring rocks so much as it is our burdens. Shouldn't church be the place where we bring our burdens? Once we have enough stones and rocks, maybe we will build an outdoor fireplace or something - an altar to and for community in Christ.

I'm hoping and praying that today you are smack dab in the center of where God wants you to be, regardless of what happens in the inn.

Blessings-TomT.Grayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00874744232032011018noreply@blogger.com
