there’s a difference
between a loss
and an absence
in the same way
a deep cut is not
an amputation
we are not
mourning one
who is lost but
one who has died
he is not missing
he is gone

MBC...a childhood friend from church at the original B'moor here in Jackson tragically had her son pass from this life yesterday...your words of semantics hit closely home today...bread for the journey...love ya
