day off

were you to ask what I did today
I might be tempted to say nothing
because I had the day off from work
but that answer would be lazy
I went to the grocery store
and the bank, baked bread,
made a couple of soups,
ate lunch with my wife
played with the pups
and took a nice long nap,
which may have been my
greatest accomplishment
